We build tall chain link enclosures for tennis and pickleball courts at schools, parks, clubs and private homes in the Chicago area. Court fence is high and often carries windscreen, so it takes the full force of the lake wind. Post size and footing depth are worked out for that. Tall fence needs a permit in the city.
It is common knowledge that tennis courts need fences to keep the ball within the bounds of the playing area. However, despite the need for it, many tennis court owners still choose to omit it because it is an added expense. If you’ve ever been around tennis courts with no fences, it is not hard to notice that there are lots of tennis balls scattered around the perimeter. It can also possibly reach further areas like the neighbor’s yard. If it happens repeatedly, it can lead to annoyance and may later on cause conflict.
There are some factors to consider when getting tennis court fences. One of the things to look into is the durability. Tennis looks like an easy sport. But quite often, people forget that tennis balls can move fast and bring enormous impact. If the material is not as durable, it can easily fall apart with the impact of the tennis ball.
As property owners, we urge you to be wary of the fences that you are getting. It is easy to fall into good promises. However, make sure to do your research before completing any purchase. Look for a legitimate fence company in Chicago that can provide with reliable materials.
